Silencer (Podded / Non Podded)

Silencer (Podded / Non Podded)

A podded silencer is a type of noise reduction device commonly used in exhaust systems, particularly in automotive, industrial, and morine application. It is designed to reduce the noise produced by engines or machinery by dissipating sound enemy. The term “podded “ refers to the construction of the silencer, where the sound-dampening material or the core structure is enclosed in poded like casing, making it compact and easy to install or replace.

  • SILENCER (PODDED / NON-PODDED)
    A
Silencer is an acoustic control device designed to reduce noise generated by air handling systems, ventilation fans, HVAC equipment, and industrial air movement systems. It helps minimize sound transmission while maintaining efficient air movement through the ductwork.

    • Podded Silencer: Contains acoustic splitters or pods inside the casing to absorb and reduce noise effectively, especially in medium- and high-noise applications.

    • Non-Podded Silencer: Uses acoustic lining inside the casing without internal splitter pods. It is suitable for applications requiring moderate noise reduction with minimal obstruction to air movement.
